CAT ISLAND
Pool at Hawks Nest Resort
We liked Cat Island a lot and that combined with the fact that we rented a car one day and spent some time touring, we ended up with more pictures of Cat than just about anywhere.
| To get to and from resort and marina, grab any bike | |
| It's been a long time since either of us rode a bike with coaster brakes. Here Lynn returns to the boat. | |
| The marina at Hawks Nest | |
| Sunspot Baby with her yellow sun shade in Hawks Nest marina. | |
| The creek at Hawks Nest has a few mooring balls for when the marina is full. | |
| Fernandez Bay is another nice resort on the island. This is their beach. | |
| The Hermitage on Mount Alvernia. This is the highest point in the Bahamas | |
| Lynn and Toby at the Hermitage. We didn't climb the hill. Our old knees complain too loudly. | |
| The shore line near New Bight. | |
| Like so much of the Bahamas the villages, while simple, are clean and the people are friendly. | |
| George abandons the laid back life afloat and joins in the hectic pace ashore. | |
| Pictures of nothing. I often see patterns or textures that seem very arty. Usually my attempts to capture these on film are disappointing but I thought these turned out OK. I had to reduce size and resolution on the blue one to get it to load well. |
